Pastor Chris Okafor Raises Doubts Over Doris Ogala's Allegations as Police Probe Stalls

Founder of Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has once again addressed the ongoing controversies surrounding his relationship with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Okafor questioned the consistency and logic behind Ogala's explosive claims.

Questioning the Contradictions in Allegations

Okafor pointed out a significant contradiction in Ogala's statements, asking why she would demand marriage or a staggering N1 billion from a man she had previously accused of murder. The same person who accused me of murder is the same person crying that I want to abandon her and marry someone else, he stated. How could she want to marry someone who allegedly killed her brother?

According to the cleric, the situation is far more complex than it appears on the surface, with many unanswered questions and inconsistencies that need to be addressed. There is so much about the matter than meets the ordinary eye, he added, suggesting deeper layers to the controversy.

Origin of the Legal Woes and Additional Claims

The pastor traced the origin of his current legal troubles to a wedding planner who allegedly leaked his remarriage plans, which subsequently invited various parties to come forward with allegations. This revelation came after a video showing Okafor's engagement to Pearl Okafor surfaced online, prompting Ogala to make her claims public.

Ogala alleged that she had been in a romantic relationship with the pastor since 2017, claiming she ended her previous marriage at his urging. She accused him of betrayal after years of intimacy and repeated promises of marriage, adding fuel to the already fiery scandal.

Addressing Separate Allegations from Ex-Wife and Alleged Daughter

In addition to responding to Ogala's claims, Okafor also addressed separate allegations involving his ex-wife and a woman named Chi Okafor, who claims to be his biological daughter and accuses him of abandonment. The pastor firmly denied ever meeting Chi and accused his ex-wife of collaborating with a blogger to demand financial compensation from him.

The allegations were coming from a woman I never met, Okafor stated. Then my ex-wife joined and accused me of trying to defile one of our daughters. He further alleged that the same ex-wife and daughter demanded approximately ₦80 million for school fees and upkeep abroad, questioning the contradiction in their claims.

Police Investigation Paused and Court Restraints

The Lagos State Police Command has temporarily paused its investigation into the sexual assault and murder allegations leveled against Pastor Chris Okafor. This development became necessary after authorities discovered that the same allegations had already been petitioned at higher police levels, requiring a reassessment of jurisdictional matters.

In a related legal development, a Lagos High Court has issued a restraining order against social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), actress Doris Ogala, and Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel. The court order, delivered by Justice M. A. Savage at the Ikeja division, prohibits them from mentioning Pastor Chris Okafor, his church, or ministry on any social media platform, adding another layer of legal complexity to the ongoing saga.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the public remains divided, with many questioning the motives behind the allegations and others calling for thorough investigations to uncover the truth behind this high-profile celebrity scandal.
