Papaya Ex Responds to PA's Allegations
Brand influencer Abike Raheem, popularly known as Papaya Ex, has broken her silence over allegations made by her personal assistant, Muna. Muna's brother had earlier cried out online, claiming that Papaya Ex seized her phone and refused to pay her salary. However, Papaya Ex has now reacted, denying the claims and accusing Muna of theft.
Papaya Ex's Counterclaims
In a video shared on social media, Papaya Ex stated that Muna was lying about everything. She claimed that she pays Muna N300,000 monthly and also provides accommodation and feeding for both Muna and her brother. Papaya Ex further alleged that Muna stole from her, listing items such as an iPhone 16 Pro Max, an iPhone 17 Pro Max, N2 million, and an additional N200,000 meant for Muna's brother.
Papaya Ex displayed what she described as a statement of account to support her claims. She explained that Muna handled payments on her behalf and was responsible for receiving funds from brands and other business engagements.
Fan Reactions
The video sparked mixed reactions from fans. Some questioned whether Papaya Ex truly paid N300,000 monthly and asked for evidence. Others supported her, noting that she had shared payment receipts on Snapchat. Many criticized Muna, calling her ungrateful, especially given the accommodation and feeding provided.
Comments included: “Government workers don suffer any small thing una go dey shout government workers, try get am if e easy,” and “I’ve met this Pa in Papaya’s house, and I can tell you that Papaya is so nice to her… at first I thought they were related.”
Background
This controversy comes after Papaya Ex was previously celebrated by singer Portable, who called her a strong woman with real hustle. Portable had praised her after she reacted to his caricature of Bobrisky.
