In a series of social media posts, she condemned the habit of speaking negatively about others behind their backs, emphasizing that such conversations often escalate into larger problems.
Gossip Disguised as Prayer
Idahosa criticized those who mask gossip as prayer requests or 'breaking news.' She wrote, 'We love saying “God no go shame us” while we secretly shame others. Gossip is not prayer request.'
In another post, she added, 'Yes, I’m a Pastor. No, I won’t pretend that the “pray for them” WhatsApp broadcast you made isn’t rubbish. Stop hiding gossip behind your hallelujahs!'
A Call for Repentance
She concluded her series with a prayer, asking God to forgive hurtful words spoken in secret and to heal wounds caused by the tongue. Her message serves as a reminder for believers to examine their speech and avoid using religious language to cover up harmful behavior.
