Nollywood actress and producer Rita Daniels has taken a definitive political stand that has captured public attention, as she reportedly distances herself from her estranged in-law, Senator Ned Nwoko, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The revelation came from Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Delta State governor, who alleged that Rita Daniels has thrown her support behind former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the Delta North senatorial seat. According to the aide, the actress was an active participant during Okowa's consultation visit to Aniocha South Local Government Area.

Sharing details of the visit, Ossai claimed that Rita Daniels openly demonstrated her backing during the gathering. He wrote, “Nollywood actress and producer Rita Daniels, estranged mother-in-law of Senator Ned Nwoko, has publicly endorsed Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s bid for the Delta North Senatorial seat in 2027.”
He added that she was seen dancing, singing, and praising Okowa in front of party stakeholders and women groups. The appearance has drawn significant attention because Nwoko is also believed to have political ambitions tied to the same region.
