Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has opened up about the unusual beginning of her relationship with her husband. During a recent interview, she revealed that on the very first day they met, she felt God told her that the man would become her husband. However, she blocked his number just two days later.
Kadiri explained that she never grew up under pressure to get married and was never the type to dream about weddings. 'I've never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn't a thing for me. I didn't even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky,' she said.
First Meeting and Divine Message
According to Kadiri, she met her husband at work after he approached her and tried to start a conversation. She was not interested at first but eventually gave him a chance, and they ended up talking about business, importation, and Vietnam. As she was about to walk away, she felt the Spirit of God tell her, 'He's your husband.'
Despite this divine message, Kadiri blocked his number two days later. She added that she was in another relationship at the time. Nevertheless, her future husband went the extra mile to find her, and four months later, he proposed. 'Four months later, he proposed to me, and I accepted,' she revealed.
