Social critic and aide to Delta State Governor, Mr. Jollof, has broken his silence following a physical altercation with fellow content creator Very Dark Man (VDM) aboard an aircraft at Asaba International Airport.
The Incident and Immediate Aftermath
The confrontation occurred on Monday, November 17, when the two personalities clashed inside the aircraft before takeoff. In a video statement released afterward, Mr. Jollof offered apologies to multiple parties affected by the very public display.
Mr. Jollof expressed regret to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), his boss the Delta State governor, his wife and children, fellow passengers, and the general Nigerian public for the disturbance caused by the fight. However, he maintained that his actions were purely defensive in nature.
Jollof's Version of Events
According to Mr. Jollof's account, the conflict began while he was seated on the aircraft. He claims that after some passengers recognized and praised him, VDM began making provocative comments directed at him.
VDM allegedly threatened: "If we come down from this plane, I go slap you. Make God punish your papa. I fit commot from here now come slap you." In response, Mr. Jollof says he simply told VDM to "Behave yourself."
The situation escalated when VDM reportedly left his seat and approached Mr. Jollof's location. "I had to defend myself immediately which led to us fighting inside the aircraft," Jollof explained.
The '3000 mg' Defense and Biting Explanation
In his characteristic manner of speech, Mr. Jollof quantified his defensive actions with pharmaceutical terminology, claiming "3000 mg of blows were delivered to VDM" during their altercation.
Addressing his wife specifically, he stated: "To my lovely wife, I know you are proud of me. 3000 mg was sent and it was delivered. Not by muscles."
When questioned about why he resorted to biting during the fight, Mr. Jollof drew an unusual comparison to boxing legend Mike Tyson: "Mike Tyson the fighter, he used what God gave him. When you carry knife come gun battle, anything when you see you go take am."
Despite his justification of the incident, Mr. Jollof made promises to his children and his boss: "To my kids, Daddy will never do this again. And to my boss, I am very sorry, this is not my kind of person, I was only trying to defend myself."
The video of Mr. Jollof's explanation was shared via Linda Ikeji's blog on November 18, 2025, providing his perspective on the viral incident that has captured social media attention across Nigeria.
