Speed Darlington's former aide, Goski, has publicly announced his resignation after four years of working with the singer, alleging he received only ₦250,000 from a reported ₦30 million payday connected to Speed Darlington's boxing match against Carter Efe. Goski made the claims in a video that circulated online on Friday, stating he is no longer working with the singer and requesting that people stop contacting him for bookings or any other business involving Speed Darlington.
Goski's Allegations of Underpayment and Broken Promises
According to Goski, the ₦250,000 he received was far below what he deserved, considering the work he did connecting the singer with clients and influential people. "Not even one million," he said of his share. Goski also claimed that Speed Darlington had promised him a six per cent commission on every job, but later argued that there was no formal contract between them.
Goski further alleged that he spent his own money to support the singer, including several trips to Abuja during Speed Darlington's arrest. He often paid his own transport costs while arranging flights for the singer and his assistant. Goski also stated that Speed Darlington wanted an aide he could intimidate, not one who brought in work and made content. Questioning whether the lack of a contract meant he could be treated "like trash," Goski said he would never work with the singer again.
Context of the Boxing Match and Previous Fights
The reported ₦30 million payday stems from the boxing match between Speed Darlington and Carter Efe, which took place on Thursday, 1 October, Independence Day, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. The bout was part of the Balmoral Promotions Chaos in the Ring event. Speed Darlington lost to Carter Efe by unanimous decision after four rounds and later claimed the fight was rigged.
The match followed a challenge Speed Darlington issued after Carter Efe beat Portable in May. Efe won that fight 30–27 on all three scorecards. Speed Darlington had himself lost to Portable in April 2025 after failing to come out for the second round. The card also featured a celebrity bout between Phyna and Nkechi Blessing.
No Response from Speed Darlington Yet
At the time of reporting, Speed Darlington had not responded to Goski's allegations. The former aide's public resignation and detailed claims have added a new layer of controversy to the already eventful boxing saga involving the singer.
