Tumi, the estranged partner of BBNaija star Angel Smith, has opened up about the breakdown of their relationship during a recent live session. According to her, she handled most of the wedding preparations alone, claiming her partner contributed little despite the scale of the event.
Wedding Day Tensions
She recounted moments leading up to the wedding where tensions escalated, including an instance where Angel allegedly prioritised running errands for a friend over their own plans. Tumi said the strain got so intense that they barely spoke on their wedding day, only interacting during the reception while putting up appearances for guests.
Earlier Issues and Dating Platform
She also revealed that issues had started months earlier, alleging that the relationship became unstable after Angel joined a dating platform, though they continued to present things as normal publicly. After the wedding, she said nothing improved, describing separation within the same house, minimal communication, and periods where her partner was absent.
Therapy and Divorce Attempts
Tumi added that attempts to fix things, including therapy, did not work out. She said she eventually moved to file for divorce, but claimed Angel's mother stepped in at that point. According to her, “her mum begged me to give it one last chance,” even after divorce papers had already been prepared.
