A woman has sparked outrage and calls for an investigation after she proudly revealed online how her family killed her sister's children because they believed the children were sent to test their family.
Background of the Controversy
She shared her story in reaction to a trending video where a woman was confronted for abandoning her child. The woman who abandoned her disabled child had explained that she was advised to do so by a spiritual leader who claimed the child, who cannot walk, is the reason she has suffered multiple miscarriages.
As Nigerians called out the mother for her action, one Facebook user named Ruth Eugene Vanger came to her defense.
Ruth's Family Story
Ruth shared her family's story to support the woman. She wrote: 'Person wey never born snake pikin go think say this woman wicked. That was how my cousin sister did her to her own but, the child still came back to her.'
She continued: 'Her legs were tied with cable wire before being thrown into the river and when she came and born again for my sister she was born with the mark on her legs.'
'Her second coming was worse than the first one. In fact, she came with special forces. She made sure she dried my sister of her finances, killed her husband and she could not give birth to any other child for 8 years.'
'It was a blessed mother in brotherhood of the cross and star that did assignment and on the last day she instructed she should be cut into pieces and burn with fuel into ashes and her remains be poured inside river. When that was done my sister recovered everything within one year.'
Reactions and Confrontation
A shocked Facebook user asked her if she was admitting that her family killed two children. Ruth replied: 'And those 2 children killed their own father and almost killed their mother if God did not intervene.'
The post has since sparked widespread condemnation and calls for law enforcement to investigate the matter.
