Actor and photographer Yemi Kings has opened up about a shocking encounter with a well-known clergyman, describing how the man of God allegedly made inappropriate sexual advances toward him during a Christian programme. The revelation came during a conversation on the platform of Apostle Femi Lazarus, sparking widespread discussion online.
Yemi Kings Recounts the Incident
According to Kings, the clergyman initially showed interest in him as a young talent and granted him access because of his gift. They traveled together for a Christian event and ended up sharing a hotel room. Kings said he went to sleep wearing only his boxers, and in the middle of the night, the cleric began touching him inappropriately.
“I was taken aback,” Kings said. “This is someone we look up to in the spiritual atmosphere. After I turned my back on him, that was my biggest mistake; he just put his leg over me. It felt like a nightmare.”
Details of the Disturbing Night
Kings further explained that when it was time to take his bath, he used a transparent restroom without realizing it might have been inappropriate in that setting. After the alleged incident, he was still processing what had happened when he turned his back and continued sleeping. The cleric’s next action left him even more dumbfounded.
“I met a guy in his room, but that one left,” Kings added. “The next day, his face had changed, and he was looking very different, as if nothing had happened the previous night.”
Call for Protection of the Boy Child
The photographer emphasized that the boy child also needs to be protected, hinting at the vulnerability of young men in similar situations. The audience listening to his account was initially caught off guard, with some laughing before becoming sober as the gravity of his story sank in.
Kings did not name the clergyman but stated that the incident involved a highly respected figure in Nigeria, which made the betrayal even more shocking.
Previous Controversy Involving Apostle Femi Lazarus
This is not the first time Apostle Femi Lazarus’s platform has been in the spotlight. Legit.ng previously reported that Apostle Femi Lazarus faced backlash over his comments on the invasion threat by President Donald Trump. In a viral video, the pastor alleged that America’s interest in Nigeria is not humanitarian but a strategic move to divide the nation for its own gain. Many Nigerians rejected that narrative.
Speaking during a church gathering, Apostle Lazarus insisted that foreign interventions are rarely sincere, pointing to past events during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
