40-Year-Old Man Declares Love for Apostle Chibuzor's Autistic Daughter, Seeks Marriage
A 40-year-old Nigerian man has openly professed his love for the 21-year-old autistic daughter of Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM). This declaration comes shortly after the pastor announced he is seeking a husband for his daughter, emphasizing the need for a man who will love and protect her.
Man Steps Forward with Marriage Proposal
In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, Onyebuchi Ezeugoezue revealed his heartfelt interest in marrying Chiemeka Chibuzor. He stated, "I am really interested in having her in my life as my beautiful wife." His comments were made in response to a social media post by Legit.ng on April 15, 2025, just hours after Apostle Chibuzor's announcement.
Ezeugoezue further expressed his commitment, saying, "If they accept me, I will like to spend the rest of my life with her as husband and wife forever." He shared personal details to bolster his proposal, noting that he is from Anambra State, specifically Ezinifite in Nnewi South, and is currently based in Ogun State. He emphasized that he is single and has never been married before.
Motivation Behind the Proposal
When asked about his reasons for wanting to marry Chiemeka Chibuzor, Ezeugoezue explained his perspective on love and humanity. He said, "I just feel I'm interested, I'm a man. We're all human beings, no matter how anybody is, you can change anybody's life at any time with however you look at it." He added, "A mad person on the road can still have their life changed by giving them love. Try to show people love; most of them are lost because they were not shown love by anyone."
He confirmed his readiness for marriage, stating that if the wedding were scheduled for tomorrow, he would be prepared, as evidenced by sharing his contact information.
Background and Reactions
Apostle Chibuzor's search for a husband for his autistic daughter has sparked widespread discussion online. Previously, the pastor outlined benefits for the man who marries her, including financial support and other incentives. However, this move has also drawn criticism from some quarters.
In related news, a Nigerian lawyer recently voiced concerns about the pastor's plan to marry off another adopted child with autism, arguing that individuals with autism require care, support, and protection rather than marriage. This follows earlier controversy over the marriage of the pastor's adopted autistic son, which generated mixed reactions on social media.
The story highlights ongoing debates about love, marriage, and disability in Nigerian society, with Ezeugoezue's proposal adding a personal dimension to the public discourse.
