The Night of June 7th is a forthcoming film inspired by the shocking Apo Six killings. On the night of June 7, 2005, six friends – five men and one woman – went to a club for a birthday celebration. They never returned home.

After an encounter with a police officer, the friends, all aged between 21 and 25, were gunned down and falsely labeled as armed robbers. However, the truth could not remain concealed for long.

A movie based on their story is set for release this year. Titled The Night of June 7th, it features an ensemble cast including Femi Branch, Ali Nuhu, Gideon Okeke, and Charles Lenny. The film is written and produced by Linda Ikeji and directed by Toka Mcbaror.
