The Jameson Distillery experience will make its debut in Port Harcourt from 1 to 3 October 2026 at Yakubu Gowon Stadium, bringing three days of live music, whiskey education, gourmet junk food, games, and creativity to the Garden City over the Independence Weekend.
The event, which has previously drawn thousands of attendees in Lagos and Abuja, marks the first time the immersive experience will be held in Port Harcourt. Organisers say the weekend will transform the city into a hub of discovery, entertainment, and connection.
What to expect at the three-day event
Across the three days, guests will enjoy live performances, interactive games, creative showcases, gourmet junk food experiences, and engaging whiskey education sessions. These sessions are designed to bring to life the story, heritage, and craftsmanship behind the Jameson brand.
The experience combines Jameson's Irish Spirit with what the organisers describe as the “unmistakable Naija Spirit” of the people, aiming to create a weekend that feels both distinctly Jameson and distinctly Nigerian. Whether attendees are whiskey enthusiasts or simply looking for an unforgettable weekend, the event is designed to offer something for everyone.
Jameson's commitment to culture and community
The Port Harcourt edition reflects Jameson's commitment to creating experiences rooted in culture. The event will bring together the people, talent, creativity, and spirit of connection for which the city is known.
Speaking on the upcoming event, Evane Chenuet, Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, said: “We are excited to bring Jameson Distillery to Port Harcourt for the first time. Over the years, we have seen how impactful shared experiences can be in bringing communities together, and we are looking forward to creating those moments here. From Irish whiskey discovery and food experiences to live entertainment and games, we've designed an experience that captures the spirit of Jameson while celebrating the energy that makes Port Harcourt special.”
