Nigerian Adventurer Embarks on Second Epic Motorcycle Journey
Kunle Adeyanju, the Nigerian biker who captured national attention with his remarkable motorcycle ride from London to Lagos in 2022, has embarked on another extraordinary adventure. The man popularly known as The Lion Heart began his latest journey on Saturday, November 8, 2025, riding from Lagos towards Spain.
The Journey Begins: From Lagos to Benin Republic
The adventure commenced with strong support from Adeyanju's biking community. Members of his club, the Metallic Bull Riderz, accompanied him in full force to the Seme Border. According to Adeyanju's post on X (formerly Twitter), his fellow bikers demonstrated remarkable camaraderie by riding with him to the border and waiting patiently while he completed all immigration formalities on both the Nigerian and Benin sides.
"The team rode with me all the way to the Seme border, waiting patiently as I completed all the border formalities on both the Nigerian and Benin sides — and even stayed until I fully crossed into Benin before heading back," Adeyanju shared in his social media update.
First Day Challenges and Adjustments
Despite careful planning, the adventurer encountered the unpredictable nature of long-distance travel on his first day. Adeyanju revealed that he didn't achieve his two main objectives for the day—reaching Falilé d'Alidjo and pushing on to Cinkassé, the Togo-Burkina Faso border.
"But that's the beauty of adventure: things rarely go exactly as planned. Yet, when you've planned well, it becomes much easier to adapt and adjust to whatever the road throws your way," he philosophically noted in his post.
The biker spent his first night in Togo, where he attracted significant attention from local residents. The "Lagos-Spain" sticker on his motorcycle drew curious crowds at the Togolese border, with many people wanting to chat, take pictures, and learn more about his ambitious journey.
