UK Model Known for 'Biggest Lips' Dissolves Facial Fillers After a Decade
Sofia Lips, a model from Manchester who has gained online fame for possessing what is often described as the "UK's biggest lips," has taken a dramatic step by dissolving all the filler from her cheeks and jaw. This marks the first time in ten years that the 28-year-old has revealed her natural facial structure, following a journey that involved spending more than £500,000 on various cosmetic enhancements.
A Turning Point After a Medical Scare
The decision to dissolve the fillers was influenced by a harrowing incident where Sofia nearly lost her life after undergoing botched breast surgery in Turkey. During that procedure, her body began leaking a green substance, a traumatic experience that prompted her to reconsider her overall appearance, including her facial features.
"I've had to change my Face ID to unlock my phone as it didn't recognise me anymore," Sofia revealed after the dissolving sessions, which cost her £2,000. "The square jaw and cheeks have gone now. I am probably going to re-fill it – just not as harsh. It'll look more cute and even. I've had black eyes for the last two weeks, though, which hasn't been fun."
Mixed Feelings and Future Plans
Despite the change, Sofia admits to feeling "embarrassed" by her natural face, leading her to plan for more subtle fillers in the future. "I can't leave the house. I was so used to having huge cheeks, so it's quite different," she said. The process required her aesthetician to use quadruple the usual amount of dissolving agent due to the extensive filler present.
Her lips, however, remain significantly plump and large, a feature she claims affects her daily life. "Drinking without a straw is no longer optional. I tend not to eat or drink out as people take pictures of me struggling otherwise," Sofia explained. She also noted that her lips make her highly desired in public, though she faces ridicule as well. "My lips make me so desired, it's actually quite hard to go out in public without being inundated with attention. I'm also ridiculed for my looks, but what others think of me is none of my business. I get money from it – so why would I care?"
