A married mother of two has disclosed that she recently received a message from a man who had previously refused to marry her because he feared she would become fat after childbirth. The woman, who now has two children, said the man expressed shock that she remained slim after giving birth.
In a post shared online, the woman recounted the unexpected contact, noting that the man had once told her she would gain weight after having a baby, which he claimed made him see no future between them. He then ghosted her, cutting off all communication.
Unexpected Message After Years
The woman explained that the man reached out to her out of the blue, sending a message that read, "I can not believe you look this good." She responded by reminding him of his earlier prediction and his decision to disappear from her life.
She wrote: 'You know who sent me a message yesterday? The person who said I was going to be fat after one baby and that’s why he doesn’t see a future between us and ghosted me. Not like I asked him about any future oh! I didn’t question his statement. I didn’t try to say anything about me not being this or that. I simply moved on from the MF because till tomorrow, I will say is cowards that ghost people.'
God Is Not Man
Concluding her story, she expressed gratitude to God and used an Igbo phrase to drive home her point: "Chineke Daalu na mmadu abu Chi," which translates to "Thank God, for man is not God." She also added, "How can you believe the goodness of the Lord when you were thinking he is from your village?"
