The young lady, identified on TikTok as @stone.heart9993, firmly denied widespread speculation that the 22-year-old singer's passing was linked to money rituals or sacrifices.
Setting the Record Straight on Social Media
In an emotional post on her TikTok page, the friend shared a video of herself with Destiny Boy, using the opportunity to clarify the circumstances. She urged the public to stop spreading unverified information, emphasizing that a close look at the video would show he was visibly unwell. Her statement, written in Pidgin English, directly refuted the ritual narrative, stating, "If una look at this video very well, una go know say he's sick, no be say he go do ritual or something, mk una stop saying what you didn't know."
The True Cause: A Prolonged Illness
When explaining what ultimately led to his death, the friend revealed that Destiny Boy had been battling a severe sickness for some time. She disclosed that the illness "later collect his life" but noted that he "suffer a lot" as the condition was "really bad."
