In an emotional post on her TikTok page, the friend shared a video of herself with Destiny Boy, using the opportunity to clarify the circumstances. She urged the public to stop spreading unverified information, emphasizing that a close look at the video would show he was visibly unwell. Her statement, written in Pidgin English, directly refuted the ritual narrative, stating, "If una look at this video very well, una go know say he's sick, no be say he go do ritual or something, mk una stop saying what you didn't know."
