Speaking during an interview on Rubbin' Minds on Channels Television on Sunday, July 19, Portable described himself as the 'new-born Fela' and insisted his influence in the music industry is unmatched.

'If any artiste wants to collect Grammy in this Nigeria, if you don't feature me, you won't collect Grammy. If you want to collect a Grammy nomination, come and feature me. I am the new face. I am the new-born Fela,' Portable stated emphatically during the interview.
