Tape London Partners with Rich Hospitality for Lagos Pop-Up This December
Tape London Lagos Pop-Up Opens December 12th

Lagos is set to welcome a major international nightlife brand this festive season. Rich Hospitality, the fast-growing lifestyle and entertainment group founded by Richie Shittu and Cecil Hammond, has announced a strategic partnership with Tape London, the United Kingdom's leading hip-hop club.

A Strategic Move for Global Nightlife

The collaboration will see the launch of the Tape London Lagos Pop-Up, with the venue officially opening its doors on December 12th. This initiative is designed to bring Tape London's globally recognised nightlife experience directly to one of Africa's most vibrant and influential cultural markets.

For Tape London, this pop-up represents a significant expansion into a dynamic, youth-driven market. For Rich Hospitality, the alliance further bolsters its impressive portfolio of premium destinations, which includes the exclusive members-only club Mako Lagos and the highly sought-after beachfront venue, Koko Beach Hotels and Resorts.

Amplifying Lagos's December Entertainment Economy

This partnership is particularly significant given the existing cultural momentum in Lagos during December. Cecil Hammond, a co-founder of Rich Hospitality, is also the founder of Flytime, the production company behind major events that define the city's holiday season.

Flytime produces West Africa's longest-running concert, Rhythm Unplugged, and Nigeria's first indoor multi-day festival, Flytime Fest. Hammond's two-decade work has been instrumental in positioning Nigeria as a top destination for music tourism in December. The addition of the Tape London experience integrates another world-class offering into a market that annually attracts substantial international visitors.

Leaders Align on Vision and Experience

Richie Shittu highlighted the synergy between the two brands. He stated that the partnership unites established leaders in global nightlife, allowing them to offer an elevated experience to guests, partners, and the community of travellers who flock to Lagos every December.

Echoing this sentiment, Tape London CEO Daniel Boyo emphasised the strategic importance of reconnecting with the Lagos and diaspora community. He expressed excitement about bringing the Tape London experience to the city in collaboration with the well-respected Rich Hospitality group.

With both companies sharing a commitment to innovation, cultural relevance, and exceptional service, the Tape London Lagos Pop-Up is poised to become one of the most notable additions to West Africa's premium hospitality landscape this year. Special guest announcements and reservation details are expected to follow ahead of the December 12th opening.
