The traditional ruler of Arochukwu, Abia State, has stirred emotions by suggesting that late actor Alex Ekubo's wife is expecting a child. The Eze of Arochukwu made the statement during the wake for the actor on Wednesday, June 17, as his body arrived in his hometown ahead of the funeral on Thursday, June 18.

The convoy bearing Ekubo's body stopped at the Eze Aro's palace, where the monarch offered a prayer over the casket. He implored God to ensure the continuity of Alex's lineage, claiming they had received news that the actor's wife is pregnant.
"The child we hear she's carrying will do exploits more than its father," the Eze declared. He further prayed for a safe delivery and that the child would achieve greater feats than the popular actor. "If its father ate with Presidents, it will eat with more Presidents," he added.
