If the permit is not secured within this period, overstay fines will be applied automatically, as stated in the ICP notice. The notice also clarifies that the family residence authorisation cannot exceed the validity of the sponsor's own permit, meaning a dependent's stay is capped by the remaining duration of the sponsor's residency.
