APC National Convention: Yari's TRN Showcases Tinubu's Achievements, Cautions Opposition Against Propaganda
The Renewed Hope Network (TRN), a political group established by former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has issued a strong call to opposition figures in Nigeria. The group urges them to set aside grievances and objectively recognize what it describes as the significant achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across multiple sectors of the nation.
Solidarity Rally at APC Convention
Speaking with journalists during a solidarity rally at the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention, the leader of TRN's technical committee, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, detailed the group's mission. He revealed that TRN mobilized thousands of supporters to the convention to demonstrate unwavering solidarity with President Tinubu and to commend his administration's performance since taking office.
Ogenyi praised Senator Yari for founding the network, characterizing it as a vital platform for promoting the administration's accomplishments and strengthening grassroots engagement in support of the Renewed Hope agenda. He emphasized that President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated capacity, commitment, and a genuine willingness to lead Nigeria toward prosperity through his comprehensive policies and reforms.
Call for Unity and Caution Against Misinformation
"We call on opposition figures and those who feel aggrieved as a result of the ongoing re-engineering and rebuilding of Nigeria by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government to bury their anger and open their eyes to the benefits of the ongoing reforms," Ogenyi stated firmly.
He added that as the 2027 general elections approach, Nigerians should be extremely vigilant against misinformation and propaganda allegedly being spread by political opponents. "We are using this medium to alert Nigerians that spin doctors, propagandists, and blackmailers are being engaged by opposition figures, but we believe the will of the people will always prevail because we are in the majority," he asserted.
Attributing Defections to Confidence in Leadership
On the notable wave of defections to the APC, Ogenyi attributed this trend to growing confidence in the party's direction under President Tinubu's leadership. He noted that several governors and prominent political leaders are joining the ruling party in appreciation of the administration's effective governance and visionary policies.
Highlighting Key Achievements
Ogenyi highlighted several key achievements of the Tinubu administration, claiming substantial progress in various areas:
- Security: Insecurity has been significantly reduced across the nation.
- Education: The prolonged crisis with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been resolved, and students are now benefiting from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
- Economy: Fuel availability has improved, inflation rates have declined, foreign reserves have risen, and Nigeria's economy is experiencing steady and sustainable growth.
"We are set to mobilize Nigerians in support of the Tinubu administration under the Renewed Hope Network," Ogenyi concluded, reinforcing the group's commitment to grassroots advocacy and political engagement.
