APC Distributes Tinubu Campaign Vehicles Across Bauchi LGAs Ahead of 2027 Elections
In a strategic move to bolster grassroots support, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has initiated the distribution of mobilisation vehicles across all 20 local government areas. These vehicles are prominently branded with the names of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Shehu Buba Umar, serving as a dual-purpose tool for both presidential and gubernatorial campaigns.
Donation and Distribution Details
The vehicles were generously donated by Senator Shehu Buba Umar, who represents the Bauchi South Senatorial District. This contribution is aimed at enhancing the party's outreach and strengthening its presence at the grassroots level in preparation for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The official handover ceremony took place at the APC Secretariat in Bauchi, where the vehicles were entrusted to the state party chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, for onward distribution to the local government chairmen.
During the event, Hon. Aminu Mohammed Danmalaki, representing Senator Umar, announced that a total of 25 vehicles have been allocated. This includes 20 buses for the local government areas, two additional buses for the APC state headquarters, and three more for the party's zonal offices. Danmalaki emphasized that this gesture underscores Senator Umar's unwavering commitment to democratic development and his sustained support for the APC.
Senator Umar's Political Ambitions and Contributions
Danmalaki highlighted Senator Shehu Buba Umar's extensive contributions to key sectors such as health, agriculture, education, employment, and security within his constituency and across Bauchi State. Describing him as a grassroots politician with a deep understanding of the people's needs, Danmalaki positioned Umar as a formidable contender for the Bauchi State governorship in 2027.
Addressing internal party disagreements, Danmalaki acknowledged that such challenges are common in politics, especially when multiple aspirants are involved. However, he expressed confidence in the party's ability to remain united and focused on its goals. The donated vehicles are expected to be deployed by party structures to reach communities and promote APC candidates at all levels, including presidential, governorship, and legislative elections.
Party Leadership's Response and Internal Tensions
In his remarks, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, the Bauchi State APC Chairman, commended Senator Umar for the donation and assured that the vehicles would be effectively utilized to enhance mobilisation efforts. He urged party members to maintain loyalty and unity to secure victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.
Despite these efforts, the Bauchi State APC continues to face internal tensions following the recent state congress, which saw Hassan Tilde re-elected as chairman. Aggrieved members and stakeholders have protested the outcome, leading to delays in the formal inauguration of the party's leadership. This situation adds a layer of complexity to the party's preparations for the upcoming electoral cycle.
The distribution of these campaign vehicles marks a significant step in the APC's strategy to consolidate support and navigate internal challenges as it gears up for the 2027 elections in Bauchi State.
