APC Confident of 2027 Victory with Renewed Grassroots Strategy, Says Chairman Etta

The Cross River State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Christopher Etta, has expressed strong confidence that the ruling party will secure victory in the 2027 general elections, attributing this optimism to ongoing preparations and a revitalised campaign strategy. Etta made these remarks during a courtesy visit by members of the Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) at the party's state secretariat in Calabar.

Strategic Preparations Underway

Etta emphasised that the APC is actively establishing structures to consolidate support and secure the necessary votes across Cross River State and beyond. He stressed that no effort would be spared in achieving a comprehensive victory, highlighting the party's commitment to electoral success. According to him, while the APC enjoys significant goodwill among Nigerians, there is a pressing need to adopt a more effective grassroots mobilisation strategy to convert this support into tangible electoral outcomes.

Grassroots Mobilisation as Key Focus

The APC chairman pointed out that voter mobilisation remains a critical component of the electoral process. He noted that the party is engaging with various stakeholders to design strategies that will enhance outreach and improve voter turnout. Etta commended CRISPON for its demonstrated capacity in rallying support at the grassroots level, particularly during recent political activities in parts of the state. He urged party members and supporters to prepare for the challenges ahead, especially in the lead-up to the presidential election, which he expressed optimism the APC would win.

CRISPON's Role and Endorsements

Earlier in the meeting, Prince Michael Abuo, the Director General of CRISPON, stated that the visit was intended to congratulate Etta on his emergence as state chairman and to reaffirm the group's loyalty to the party leadership. Abuo highlighted CRISPON's involvement in recent political activities, including mobilising residents across all 196 wards in Cross River State to participate in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He added that the group is also working towards endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu for a second term in office, citing their leadership and performance as key reasons for this support.

This development underscores the APC's proactive approach to the 2027 elections, with a clear focus on grassroots engagement and strategic planning to ensure electoral success.
