Bauchi APC Leaders Endorse Tinubu for 2027, Pledge One Million Votes

In a significant political development, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu as their consensus candidate for the 2027 presidential election. During a high-level stakeholders' meeting held in Bauchi on Tuesday, the party bigwigs vowed to deliver one million votes to secure Tinubu's re-election, aiming to strengthen party cohesion and position the APC for electoral success in the state.

Key Figures Unite for Tinubu's Re-election

The meeting was spearheaded by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, and attended by prominent party figures. Notable attendees included Senator Shehu Buba, former governors Isa Yuguda and Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, as well as former NNPC official Bala Wunti. The gathering also focused on charting a pathway for selecting a credible governorship candidate for Bauchi State under the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Pate moved the motion for Tinubu's endorsement, which was seconded by former governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar and unanimously adopted by all participants. He emphasized that President Tinubu deserves a second term, citing his contributions to Bauchi State, such as creating employment opportunities for over 2,000 youths and implementing interventions in critical sectors like security, healthcare, agriculture, and education.

Commitment to Unity and Victory

Pate assured that APC stakeholders, including aspirants, former governors, lawmakers, and grassroots leaders, are united and committed to securing Tinubu's victory in 2027. He added that the meeting congratulated newly elected party officials at various levels and commended Bauchi residents for their peaceful participation in the party's national convention.

Former governor Isa Yuguda, who chairs the Renewed Hope Initiative for the North-East, described Tinubu's efforts at national development as significant. He expressed confidence that Tinubu's re-election would further advance the country's progress and urged party members and residents to remain united in supporting the APC across all levels.

Grassroots Mobilization and Party Cohesion

The meeting was also attended by several governorship aspirants and political figures, including Bala Wunti and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar. Representing the Bala Wunti Movement, Adamu Fanta called for renewed unity within the party, reaffirming the group's commitment to the stability, growth, and success of the APC.

Fanta highlighted that Wunti, alongside the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO), played a key role in facilitating the meeting as part of efforts to promote dialogue and cohesion within the party. He stated that the movement would continue to mobilize grassroots support to ensure Tinubu's re-election and the APC's overall victory in Bauchi State.
