France Releases Official List of 29 Countries Eligible for Visa-Free

France has officially released an updated list of 29 countries whose nationals are eligible for visa-free entry into the country. The announcement, published on the French government's official website, clarifies which countries benefit from this privilege, including both European Union member states and non-EU nations.

Visa-Free Access for EU Member States

According to the French government, 25 of the 27 EU member states enjoy visa-free access to France. The eligible EU countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Notably, not all EU members are included, as some do not have this privilege.

Non-EU Countries Also Eligible

In addition to EU members, four non-EU countries are also granted visa-free entry to France: Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. These countries are part of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and have close ties with the EU.
