A self-proclaimed Igbo leader has declared that Governor Biodun Oyebanji will secure the overwhelming majority of votes from South-East residents living in Ekiti State during the June 20 governorship election. Speaking after casting his ballot at polling unit 07, Ward 8, in Ado-Ekiti, the leader stated that approximately 95 percent of the Igbo community in the state would back the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.

Why Igbos Support Oyebanji

Wearing a cap inscribed with “Life’s Good,” the Igbo leader emphasized that Oyebanji’s popularity and commendable performance in office were key factors. “Popularity goes a long way. Oyebanji has done a wonderful job in Ekiti. He has been our friend. We are behind him. Ninety-five per cent of Igbos in Ekiti will vote for him,” he said.
