JANDOR Campaign Establishes 2,690-Member Committee for Lagos APC Governorship Primaries

The campaign organization of Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, widely recognized as JANDOR, a 2027 Lagos State governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially formed a 2,690-member committee. This strategic move is designed to fortify grassroots mobilization and coordination in preparation for the APC's direct governorship primaries in Lagos State.

Committee Structure and Composition

In a statement released on Monday by Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye, the spokesperson for the Jagaban-JANDOR 2027 Campaign Organisation, the committee's formation was detailed. The structure is meticulously aligned with Lagos State's political framework, incorporating members from 245 political wards, 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs), and the state level. Specifically, each of the 245 wards will contribute 10 representatives, while each of the 20 LGAs will also provide 10 representatives. An additional 40 members have been selected at the state level to ensure comprehensive coverage.

At both the ward and local government tiers, every 10-member unit includes designated agents for the aspirant, media and communications personnel, security coordinators, grassroots mobilizers, and canvassers. This configuration is intended to guarantee operational efficiency, maintain message consistency, and foster effective voter engagement across all party levels.

Mandate and Objectives

The committee has been tasked with several critical responsibilities to enhance the campaign's effectiveness. These include coordinating ward-level mobilization and stakeholder engagement, driving voter education and participation in the direct primary process, ensuring adherence to party guidelines and electoral protocols, and serving as a primary communication link between the campaign and grassroots party members.

According to the campaign organization, this initiative reflects JANDOR's dedication to a participatory, transparent, and inclusive political process, in harmony with the principles of internal democracy upheld by the APC. The campaign expressed strong confidence that this extensive grassroots structure will bolster party cohesion and significantly improve the aspirant's prospects for a successful outcome in the upcoming primaries.

The statement emphasized, "This structure is designed to ensure operational efficiency, message consistency, and robust voter engagement across all strata of the party. The committee is mandated to coordinate ward-level mobilization and stakeholder engagement, drive voter education and participation in the direct primary process, ensure compliance with party guidelines and electoral protocols, and serve as the first line of communication between the campaign and grassroots party members."

It further added, "This initiative underscores JANDOR's commitment to a participatory, transparent, and inclusive political process, aligned with the principles of internal democracy as upheld by the APC. The campaign remains confident that this expansive and well-coordinated grassroots structure will significantly enhance party cohesion and position the aspirant for a credible and successful outing in the forthcoming primaries."
