APC Aspirant Saheed Oladele Hosts Eid Get-Together to Strengthen Ties for 2027 Elections
Saheed Oladele, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, hosted a significant Eid-el-Fitr get-together for party members, loyalists, and supporters over the weekend in Ibadan. The event served as a strategic platform to reinforce political connections and articulate his vision as preparations for the 2027 elections gain momentum.
Celebrating Festive Unity and Political Cohesion
Oladele, who holds the titles of Chairman and CEO of Erudite Group of Schools and Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland, welcomed guests from various parts of the state. He described the gathering as a dual-purpose occasion: celebrating the festive season while promoting unity within the APC. "This event is not just about marking Eid; it's about bringing our party together and ensuring we are aligned for the challenges ahead," he stated.
He stressed the critical importance of cohesion among APC stakeholders, noting that as electoral activities intensify, a united front is essential for success. "Our strength lies in our unity, and we must work collaboratively to achieve our goals for Oyo State," Oladele emphasized during his address.
Inspiration from Umrah and Political Encouragement
Reflecting on his political journey, Oladele revealed that his decision to enter active politics was inspired during his Umrah pilgrimage in 2023. "While on Umrah, I was urged to pray about becoming the next governor of Oyo State, which planted the seed for this aspiration," he shared.
He further explained that this call to leadership became more compelling one year later, following encouragement from a prominent political figure. "A respected leader gave me five key reasons why I should step up to represent the younger generation in governance, which solidified my resolve," Oladele added, though he did not disclose the figure's identity or the specific reasons.
Confidence in National Leadership and Vision for Oyo State
During the gathering, Oladele took the opportunity to express his support for national leadership. He reassured attendees that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has good intentions for Nigeria and voiced confidence in the administration's commitment to tackling the country's challenges. "We must trust in the leadership at the federal level as they work towards solutions for our nation," he remarked.
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Oladele predicted a paradigm shift in Oyo State's political landscape. "The upcoming elections will mark a significant change, bringing fresh perspectives and renewed energy to governance in our state," he asserted, positioning himself as a catalyst for this transformation.
The Eid get-together not only celebrated the festive period but also underscored Oladele's strategic efforts to build a strong support base and articulate a clear political agenda as the APC gears up for the next electoral cycle in Oyo State.
