Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant Laja Adeoye has declared his intention to end the All Progressives Congress (APC) dominance in Lagos State. In a statement released on Sunday, March 29, Adeoye asserted that his entry into the race signals the conclusion of APC's prolonged rule, promising transformative leadership centered on education, housing, and economic diversification.
Lagosians Yearn for Change, Says Adeoye
According to Adeoye, residents of Lagos have grown weary of successive APC-led administrations and are actively seeking a new direction. The real estate mogul and managing director of Fendini Limited positioned himself as the embodiment of this fresh start, committed to delivering innovative and people-centered governance. "I am running to offer a credible, formidable alternative rooted in proven delivery and vision. I represent fresh, innovative, and people-centred leadership that the ruling APC has not provided," he emphasized.

Adeoye explained his approach to unseating the APC involves building broad-based alliances across stakeholder groups. "Through strategic alliances, like the strong backing from the Lagos for Prosperity Group and galvanising groups like Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), and other committed groups, we are building momentum across youths, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and disillusioned residents," he stated.
