The pivotal event took place on Thursday, December 5, 2025, at the Crest Hotel in Jos, the state capital. It attracted a notable gathering of political stakeholders, party leaders, and members of various support groups from all corners of Plateau State. Among the dignitaries present were the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Daniel Naanlong, a former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Sanda, and former House of Representatives member for Jos North/Bassa Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Kwande.

In his address, the State Director of the City Boy Movement, Daser David, characterized the inauguration as a major milestone in advancing President Tinubu's political vision at the community level. He emphasized that the appointments were a serious responsibility, not merely honorary titles. David charged the new coordinators to act with discipline, integrity, and commitment, serving as the movement's ambassadors in their respective communities.

Movement Reaffirms Loyalty to APC, Calls for Unity

Daser David used the platform to clearly reaffirm the movement's allegiance to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State. He stressed that the group is not a competitor to the ruling party but a dedicated partner in progress. "We remain fully aligned with the vision of the APC in Plateau State. We are not competing with the party; we are partners in progress, committed to strengthening our structures across all wards and polling units," David stated unequivocally.

He further issued a call for unity and collective action among all APC members and supporters of President Tinubu in the state. "This is the time for unity, partnership, and collective action. The City Boy Movement is your platform. Let us work together to secure a stronger Plateau and a stronger APC," he urged the attendees.

Dignitaries Applaud Strategic Grassroots Mobilization Drive

The initiative received commendation from several political leaders present at the event. They praised the City Boy Movement for its organized structure and its growing influence at the grassroots level. Many described the move as both timely and strategic, especially as political activities are expected to intensify in the build-up to future electoral contests, including the 2027 general elections.

The State Director also expressed gratitude to sponsors and partners whose contributions made the event successful. He specifically acknowledged Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and the Pastor Reuben Initiative, among other contributors, for their unwavering support.

This inauguration marks the beginning of a new, coordinated phase of grassroots engagement for the City Boy Movement. The group is now poised to intensify its efforts to disseminate the Renewed Hope message across Plateau communities while simultaneously working to reinforce APC structures at the ward and polling unit levels, setting the stage for the political battles ahead.
