TIM and City Boy Movement Forge Historic Alliance to Mobilize Votes for President Tinubu in 2027
In a significant development ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Tinubu Impact Movement (TIM) has entered into a historic alignment partnership with the City Boy Movement (CBM). This collaboration marks a decisive step towards consolidating nationwide grassroots mobilization efforts to secure votes for President Bola Tinubu.
Minister of Youth Development Highlights Strategic Convergence
Speaking at the partnership event held in Abuja, the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who also serves as Co-Patron of the City Boy Movement, described the alliance as a deliberate convergence of organizational structures. He emphasized that this move sends a clear message that Nigerian youths are not merely on the sidelines but are actively leading from the front in political mobilization.
Olawande disclosed that under this new collaboration, TIM has committed to mobilizing 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu. This figure is part of the broader target of 10 million votes that the City Boy Movement and its partners aim to secure nationwide.
Commitment Based on Verified Data and Structured Organization
The Minister elaborated on the foundation of this commitment, stating, "This commitment is anchored on verified data, structured organization, and a rapidly expanding TIM grassroots network across the country rather than wishful thinking." He further explained that the partnership recognizes the leadership of both movements, their dedication to youth empowerment, and their strategic roles in shaping youth participation in the upcoming electoral cycle.
This alliance also signals deeper coordination between TIM and CBM as they pursue grassroots mobilization activities. These efforts will be conducted within the legal framework of the Electoral Act and aligned with the principles of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
TIM Engages with APC Leadership and Confers Honor on Deputy Chairman
In a related development, TIM representatives visited the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC). During this visit, they met with the National Deputy Chairman (North), Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, to discuss TIM's organizational structure, expansion strategy, and mobilization roadmap.
As a gesture of recognition for his leadership and commitment to progressive politics, TIM formally conferred upon Dr. Dalori the role of "TIM Leader." While accepting this honor, Dalori commended the movement for its initiatives and pledged his support.
APC Deputy Chairman Pledges Guidance and Support
Dr. Dalori assured TIM of his readiness to provide guidance, facilitate connections with the party leadership, and link the movement to opportunities available for support groups within the APC. He further committed to supporting TIM in any way necessary to ensure its growth and meaningful contribution to its objectives.
This partnership and the subsequent engagement with APC leadership underscore the growing efforts to strengthen grassroots support for President Tinubu as the 2027 elections approach, highlighting the active role of youth-led movements in Nigeria's political landscape.
