Wike Affirms PDP Convention as a Strong Signal of Party's Resurgence

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has emphasized that the upcoming National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will serve as a clear indication to both Nigerians and the international community that the party remains dynamic and ready for a significant comeback. Wike made these remarks during an inspection of the convention venue at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, following a dinner with party stakeholders ahead of the event.

Convention Preparations and Delegates' Expectations

Approximately 2,000 delegates from all 36 states of the federation are anticipated to gather at the Velodrome of the stadium for the party's national convention. Wike expressed his satisfaction with the level of preparation, highlighting that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure a smooth and successful exercise. He urged delegates to uphold peace, discipline, and unity throughout the convention process.

"For me, this is a job well done. You can see we are not over-decorating; this is what they call proper arrangement. I'm sure Nigerians will be happy with what they will see. It will be a testimony that indeed the PDP has come back," Wike stated.
