Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Philip Agbese, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent ambassadorial postings, describing them as strategic moves poised to elevate Nigeria's global standing. In an interview conducted in Abuja on Tuesday, April 7, Agbese emphasized that these appointments reflect a deliberate effort by the administration to reposition Nigeria's diplomatic presence and amplify its voice in multilateral engagements on the international stage.

Agbese, a lawmaker from Benue state who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Labour Party, particularly praised the nomination of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Agbese noted that Ibrahim's presence at the UN will be instrumental in fostering stability and facilitating the peaceful resolution of ongoing upheavals in conflict-prone areas, including the Middle East.
