At a press conference preceding the Cooperative Housing Summit Africa (CHOSA AFRICA 2026), the summit's convener, Yemi Adelakun, highlighted that cooperative housing offers a realistic pathway to reducing the continent's widening housing gap, particularly for low- and middle-income earners who are excluded from traditional mortgage systems.
