FCT Judge Rejects Recusal Bid, Adjourns Case Without Defence Counsel
Justice K.N. Ogbunnaya of High Court 15 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has firmly declined to recuse herself from a high-profile criminal case. The case, filed by the Federal Government through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), targets Mohammed Danjuma and Prince Chibuike Echem for alleged conspiracy, inducement, and forgery.

When the defendants appealed for additional time to engage new legal representation, their request was declined. Consequently, the case was adjourned to Thursday, March 26, 2026, for the continuation of the trial.
