Governor's commitment to workers
In his address read by the Head of Service, Governor Adeleke reiterated his unwavering commitment to workers' and pensioners' welfare despite financial constraints. He stated, "What my predecessor failed to implement is what I am executing now. When we stated in our 5-point Action Plan our desire to make workforce and pensioners' welfare a top priority, detractors mocked us. Today, we have made significant progress as a talk-and-do administration."
Group Life Assurance Policy
The governor explained that the Group Life Assurance Policy, under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) 2008, Section 15, is designed to provide death-in-service benefits for Osun State employees. He described the previous government's refusal to settle these claims as inhumane and uncharitable. He also faulted the past administration for irregularities in premium payments to the insurance company for claim settlements.
