A prominent prophet has released startling predictions about the 2027 Nigerian presidential election, claiming that Peter Obi will win at the polls but will ultimately be prevented from assuming office. Prophet Chukwuneke Samson Nnaji, founder of the Finger of God Ministry in Nnewi, Anambra State, stated that Obi will defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the election but will not become president.
Prophetic revelations
According to Prophet Nnaji, the rematch between President Tinubu and Peter Obi, running under the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), will produce a surprising outcome. The cleric explicitly predicted that Obi would win the election with strong support, but he would not be allowed to take the presidential seat. Instead, a fierce legal battle would ensue, ultimately reinstating Tinubu.
"The Lord told me Peter Obi will win the 2 million vote yam again 2 million vote Peter Obi will win, but he will not become the president of Nigeria," Nnaji said in a Facebook statement. "Seeing him being declared as a winner, I'm not seeing him sitting on the throne as a president."
Court battle ahead
Rather than a smooth transition, Nnaji foresees an immediate legal war over the election results. He claims that Obi will be removed by the court, clearing the way for President Tinubu to continue his tenure.
Government shake-up
The prophecy also warns of a post-election purge, predicting that seven prominent figures will be pushed out of government. Among them is Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, who Nnaji claims will be removed "very soon." Senate President Godswill Akpabio is also forecasted to be removed, along with five other high-profile officials whose names were withheld.
Religion and politics in Nigeria
Nigeria has a long history of intertwining religion and politics, especially during election periods. Prophecies about political candidates often gain widespread attention and can influence public perception. While some claims gain temporary traction, they rarely align with final electoral outcomes.
