Adeleke to Inaugurate 10,000 Canvassers in Ijesa North

Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesman for The Imole Campaign Council championing the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has announced that the governor will inaugurate 10,000 canvassers in Ijesa North on June 10, 2026.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Ijesa-born lawyer expressed gratitude to the people of the area and the Accord Party for granting him the opportunity to contest as the party's candidate for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during the 2027 election.

Olajengbesi, who also serves as the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network based in Osun State, was presented with the party's Certificate of Return on Friday. He vowed to unseat Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who has held the seat for 24 years.

In the statement, Olajengbesi emphasized that as the spokesman for Governor Adeleke's re-election campaign, voter awareness and consciousness are crucial to achieving the desired outcomes.

Olajengbesi stated, "Thank you, Ijesa North, for entrusting me with the ACCORD Party ticket to contest for the House of Representatives election for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.

"We are commencing this historic movement to reposition Ijesa North for greater development, effective representation, and shared prosperity with the inauguration of 10,000 canvassers for Governor Ademola Adeleke across Ijesa North, scheduled for 10th June 2026.

"This marks the beginning of a collective journey to return Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency to the people. I firmly believe that our people deserve greater opportunities, stronger representation, and purposeful leadership that truly reflects their aspirations.

"His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State, will personally inaugurate the 10,000 canvassers in Oriade/Obokun, underscoring the significance of this movement and our shared commitment to the progress of our people."
