Cleric Prophesies APC Victory in 2027 Nigerian Presidential Election
Cleric Prophesies APC Victory in 2027 Election

Prophet Monday Akingbade of the Global Synagogue of Christ has prophesied that President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will emerge victorious in the 2027 Nigerian presidential election. The prophecy, originally delivered in June 2025 and reiterated in March 2026, claims that divine revelation indicates the APC will retain power.

Details of the Prophecy

In a post on his YouTube channel, Akingbade stated: “God revealed to me that the APC will continue in power after the 2027 election. In the vision, I saw that as the election approaches, new developments will begin to emerge from these leaders. They will start constructing quality roads and implementing projects that will win the hearts of the people.” He emphasized that the ruling administration would intensify infrastructure projects and development efforts to secure public support.

Nigeria's 2027 Election Landscape

Nigeria’s general elections are scheduled for January 16, 2027, when voters will elect the president, vice president, and members of the Senate and House of Representatives. Governorship and State House of Assembly elections will follow on February 6, 2027. Incumbent President Tinubu, a longtime APC chieftain, is seeking a second term. He will face challengers including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), former Anambra Governor Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and other candidates such as Adewole Adebayo and Omoyele Sowore.

Tradition of Prophetic Commentary

Nigeria’s political landscape has long seen religious figures weigh in on electoral matters. Prophecies from pastors, prophets, and seers attract significant attention ahead of major elections. Akingbade’s spiritual declaration adds to this tradition, which routinely generates debate among Nigerians during polling cycles. The cleric’s prediction aligns with the APC’s narrative of continuity and development.

Support from Presidential Adviser

Earlier, Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, stated that the incumbent remains the most favoured candidate to win the 2027 election. In a recent interview on the Mic On Podcast, Dare explained that barring a major political upset, the odds remain in Tinubu’s favour, citing the federal government’s ongoing reforms and the president’s pedigree.
