Desmond Elliot, the incumbent lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has formally announced his decision to seek re-election. In a letter addressed to residents, workers, political associates, leaders, stakeholders, and the good people of Surulere, Elliot stated that his decision stems from a continued commitment to serve and consolidate the progress achieved together.
Commitment to Constituency Development
Elliot emphasized that his return to the Assembly would confer ranking status on the constituency, which he believes will attract greater attention and benefits. He expressed gratitude for the trust and support shown to him over the years, acknowledging the role of party leaders, ward executives, community leaders, youth groups, women's associations, and stakeholders across Lagos State.
Call for Unity and Peace
The lawmaker appealed to his supporters to remain calm, steadfast, and focused. He urged them to uphold peace, unity, and respect as they move forward together.
