Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has made a striking comparison between Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress and the biblical Noah's Ark, asserting that the party has become the safest political vessel for politicians seeking stability and direction.
APC's Growing Appeal Under Tinubu
During a reception ceremony for new members who abandoned various opposition parties to join the APC, Governor Sule revealed that President Bola Tinubu's recent reforms have significantly strengthened the party's appeal across multiple states. The governor emphasized that the presidential support has provided governors with necessary resources to deliver visible developmental projects in their respective states.
"APC remains the only Noah's Ark for Nigeria's survival," Sule declared passionately. "We have no single reason, no excuse that will warrant us not to vote for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu. Tinubu has already changed everything in the country because of his reforms, of his hard work."
Mass Defections Signal Political Shift
The governor observed that the current wave of political defections to the ruling party is not accidental but represents a calculated response to what members perceive as a more stable and result-driven political platform. He insisted that the APC has transformed into the most secure political ground for those genuinely interested in contributing to national progress.
"Anybody that is not in the APC is actually losing the Noah's ark," Sule warned. "APC today is the Noah's ark, anybody that does not join will be left behind. Everywhere is APC in Plateau because the President has done well for the people of the state."
Nasarawa Residents Urged to Support Tinubu
Governor Sule specifically appealed to residents of Nasarawa State to throw their weight behind President Tinubu's anticipated reelection campaign. He argued that maintaining party unity and voter support would ensure continuity of the policies already initiated by the current administration.
According to the governor's assessment, Nasarawa State stands to gain substantially more benefits if the ruling party maintains control at both state and federal government levels. The reception event, which took place recently, showcased the growing momentum of the APC as it prepares for upcoming electoral contests.
The political landscape in Nigeria's North-Central region appears to be shifting significantly, with the APC gaining substantial ground through what Governor Sule characterizes as direct consequences of President Tinubu's reform agenda and the party's demonstrated capacity to deliver tangible results to the Nigerian people.
