Uzodimma Says Tinubu Deserves Second Term for Reforms

Uzodimma Inaugurates Ondo RHA Chapter, Lauds Tinubu's Achievements

Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, on Tuesday inaugurated the Ondo State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), declaring that President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term based on landmark projects and bold reforms ongoing in the country. Uzodimma, who serves as the Director-General of the group backing and mobilizing for Tinubu's reelection in 2027, emphasized that the President has made enormous progress in various sectors since assuming office in 2023.

Key Achievements Highlighted

Speaking during an event in Akure, the state capital, Uzodimma—represented by the Southwest Coordinator of the group and Chairman of the Nigeria Port Authority (NPA), Dayo Adeyeye—cited ongoing road construction projects and the nationwide renovation and construction of healthcare facilities as key achievements. The governor noted that the expansion of road infrastructure across the country is improving connectivity, boosting economic activity, and easing transportation challenges that have hampered commerce for decades. He also pointed to the introduction and expansion of student loan schemes, which are widening access to higher education and reducing financial barriers for Nigerian youths.

Grassroots Mobilization for 2027

Uzodimma inaugurated 18 local council coordinators in the state, charging the newly appointed ambassadors to intensify grassroots mobilization and ensure disciplined, coordinated support for the president's second-term bid. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State said RHA participants are frontline drivers of the Renewed Hope agenda, stressing that the platform is an active mobilization structure for spreading reform and continuity. He emphasized that the goal is to build a strong political network capable of translating grassroots support into victory, reaffirming Tinubu's reelection in 2027 as the central objective. Aiyedatiwa commended Uzodimma and other leaders for coordinating the initiative nationally, stating that "Nigeria must not go back to Egypt."

RHA's Outreach Strategy

Speaking on behalf of other coordinators, State Coordinator Victor Olabimtan described the initiative as a civic enlightenment platform designed to bridge communication gaps between government policies and citizens, counter misinformation, and ensure wider public awareness of ongoing reforms. He disclosed that the launch marks the beginning of coordinated statewide outreach to deepen awareness of government programs and strengthen grassroots participation in governance. Olabimtan said the RHA will operate through a structured network of government information channels, party structures, and grassroots ambassadors across wards and polling units, with over 400 canvassers and 25 local units already set for deployment. According to him, "the RHA will carry out town halls, market outreach, and community engagements to translate government policies into simple, accessible information while gathering feedback from citizens. The goal is one message, one direction, and one coordinated mobilization to ensure Nigerians fully understand and benefit from government reforms."
