The chairman of the Consensus Committee for Daura Zone, Alhaji Ahmed Dangiwa, who also served as the former minister of housing and urban development, announced that the committee had unanimously adopted Yusuf Buhari as the party’s candidate. Dangiwa stated that the decision was reached after extensive consultations with party stakeholders, ensuring unity and progress within the APC in the region.

In addition to Yusuf Buhari, other candidates were also offered automatic tickets. Nasir Yahaya secured the APC ticket for the Daura senatorial seat race, while Mustapha Musa was adopted for the Mai’adua constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly.
