The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has urged Nigerians to embrace a life of purpose that positively impacts society and aligns with divine will. He delivered this message during a monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG Headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, under the theme: “Created for Greater Impact.”
Divine Purpose and Nigeria's Future
Adeboye emphasized that every person is created with a specific purpose that must be discovered and fulfilled to justify their existence. He also declared that God has already ordained Nigeria's next President for the 2027 elections. The cleric reassured Nigerians that tomorrow will be better according to God's timetable for His children, but stressed that citizens have a role to play in ensuring the fulfillment of God's plan for the nation.
Media Professionals and Nation-Building
In his remarks, Pastor Dele Balogun, Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration) and Pastor of RCCG Region 1, highlighted the critical role of media professionals in nation-building. He called on employers, governments, and stakeholders to prioritize the welfare of media practitioners. Balogun noted that journalists often work under challenging and hazardous conditions, and their contributions should not be overlooked. “Those who interact with media practitioners should appreciate, encourage, and support them. More importantly, they must be adequately compensated given the risks they take in the line of duty,” he said.
