APC Faction Intensifies Campaign for Nentawe Yilwatda's Renomination as National Chairman
A significant group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a vigorous push for the renomination of Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as the party's National Chairman. This call comes ahead of the APC's national convention scheduled for this month, with the faction, known as Move Forward with Nentawe Advocates, mobilizing support across the country.
Leadership Performance and Visionary Governance
In a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, the group highlighted Yilwatda's impeccable leadership traits and his performance since taking office. Convener Mazi Dr Ezenwa A. A. Onyirimba praised the chairman for demonstrating exceptional capacity and leadership competence beyond measure, emphasizing that his tenure has strengthened the party's progressive ideals.
The group described Yilwatda as a seasoned developer, visionary leader, and tested technocrat, asserting that his continued leadership is crucial for the APC's stability and electoral success. They argued that under his guidance, the party is poised to secure victory in the 2027 general elections, ensuring a win for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Stakeholder Engagement and Party Unity
Onyirimba disclosed that the Move Forward with Nentawe Advocates has initiated extensive stakeholder engagements nationwide to rally support for Yilwatda. The group has appealed directly to President Tinubu and other key party figures, urging them to back the chairman's renomination at the forthcoming convention.
The faction reaffirmed its commitment to promoting credible leadership and unity within the APC, expressing confidence that Yilwatda's emergence will consolidate the party's gains and enhance its electoral prospects. They believe that with Yilwatda at the helm, the APC remains secure and assured of continued progress.
This development underscores the internal dynamics within the ruling party as it prepares for a critical convention, with factions actively shaping the leadership landscape ahead of future political challenges.
