The All Progressives Congress (APC) has publicly declared its openness to receiving former Kano State governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, into its fold. APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, clarified the party's stance during an interview on Trust TV. "Our doors are still open for Kwankwaso to join the APC. If he comes, he's most welcome. Though we are not yet in negotiation with him," stated Yilwatda.

"Because of his experience, exposure and connections, what he can connect in one day will take most of us years to gain and achieve," Yilwatda remarked about the President's diplomatic efforts.
