In a statement released by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, the approval was highlighted as a reflection of the administration's continued focus on people-oriented governance and the well-being of senior citizens. "With this release, the total amount paid since the inception of this administration has risen to ₦17.796 billion, benefiting over 8,300 retirees and next of kin of deceased workers," Maiyaki stated.
