Primate Ayodele Issues Stark Warning About Trump's Alleged African Agenda
Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the founder and head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Oke Afa, Lagos State, has delivered a concerning prophecy regarding United States President Donald Trump's purported intentions toward African leadership. In a statement released on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, and shared through his media aide Osho Oluwatosin, the prominent cleric warned that President Trump is allegedly planning to remove certain African presidents from power.
Direct Warning to President Tinubu
Primate Ayodele specifically addressed Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that the United States is not acting in Nigeria's best interests. The spiritual leader claimed that regardless of President Tinubu's current efforts, President Trump would eventually work against him. "Donald Trump will ensure he removes some African presidents," Ayodele stated. "America isn't working in favour of Tinubu. No matter what Tinubu is doing now, Trump will come around against him. America isn't coming to help you but to remove you."
Security Threats to Academic and Military Facilities
Beyond the political warnings, Primate Ayodele alerted Nigerians to remain vigilant regarding potential attacks on educational and security institutions. The cleric identified several states requiring heightened monitoring, including:
- Abuja (Federal Capital Territory)
- Lokoja, Kogi State
- Benue State
- Edo State
- Ogun State
- Katsina State
- Adamawa State
- Kano State
- Sokoto State
"Nigeria must watch on academic facilities and security institutions," Ayodele emphasized. "Let's watch these areas because I see attacks."
Call for Proactive Security Measures
The Lagos-based cleric urged the Nigerian government to take decisive action on security matters, warning of potential political assassinations and attacks on military installations. Ayodele expressed concern about the current security apparatus, stating that Nigeria needs a more proactive Chief of Army Staff. "Nigerian government must not sleep on this security matter," he cautioned. "This will still affect the killing of top security leaders and the ambushing of military armouries."
Primate Ayodele further noted that intelligence sources on the ground are afraid to cooperate with security operatives, creating additional vulnerabilities. "People who are on the ground, who are to serve as intelligence to the security operatives, are afraid; no one is ready to do anything," he observed.
Religious Tensions and International Involvement
In related prophetic warnings, Ayodele alleged that both Nigerian and international actors are sponsoring religious conflicts in the country. The cleric disputed claims that only Christians are being targeted in religious violence, asserting that both Christians and Muslims face threats. He warned that religion could become a significant factor working against President Tinubu's potential second term if not properly managed.
Ayodele called for the dissolution of Nigeria's inter-religious council, which he described as ineffective and lacking innovative ideas. "The inter-religious councils are not doing anything; they are inactive and have run out of ideas," he stated. "I think they should be eradicated and create a better agency that can mediate between the two religions because people there are not serving any purpose."
The spiritual leader urged state governors to promote religious tolerance and eliminate what he termed "religious genocide" in their respective domains. "Those who caused these things are sponsored by international bodies and Nigerians, but the government isn't taking it seriously," Ayodele concluded.
Previous Warnings to Government Appointees
This latest prophecy follows previous warnings from Primate Ayodele to key presidential appointees. The cleric had earlier cautioned Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and Nwakuche Ndidi, Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, that they could be removed from office if not careful. Ayodele claimed both officials have been earmarked for dismissal by President Tinubu before the end of the current administration.
Primate Elijah Ayodele has established himself as a vocal commentator on Nigerian and African political affairs through his regular prophetic pronouncements. His warnings often address security concerns, political developments, and international relations affecting the continent.
