Sokoto Resident Communities Applaud Governor Aliyu for Employing Their Children
Resident communities in Sokoto State have expressed their gratitude to Governor Ahmed Aliyu for employing their children in a recent large-scale recruitment exercise conducted by the state government. This commendation was delivered during a Sallah homage to the governor, highlighting the administration's inclusive approach to governance.
Inclusive Recruitment Exercise Praised
Speaking on behalf of the resident communities, Prof. Hassan Akin noted that their children benefited from the recruitment of 3,000 workers initiated by Governor Aliyu's government. He emphasized that this inclusion clearly demonstrates the governor's all-inclusive leadership style, where every individual is considered important and valued within the state's development framework.
Prof. Akin stated: "Our children got their share of the recent massive recruitment exercise of 3,000 workers conducted by your government in the state. This action shows that Governor Aliyu's leadership is truly inclusive, ensuring that everyone has a stake in Sokoto's progress."

Beyond employment opportunities, the resident communities also praised the governor for providing free education to their children and extending various forms of support during festive periods and the holy month of Ramadan. These gestures have fostered a sense of belonging and appreciation among the communities.
During the homage, Prof. Akin appealed to Governor Aliyu for assistance in constructing a secretariat and providing a vehicle to facilitate the smooth running of the association's affairs. This request aims to enhance the organizational capacity and efficiency of the resident communities in Sokoto.
Governor Aliyu's Response and Assurance
In response, Governor Ahmed Aliyu announced the donation of a vehicle to the resident communities and assured them that the government would consider their request for a secretariat. He commended the communities for living peacefully with their host communities and urged them to sustain this cordial relationship, which is vital for societal development.
Governor Aliyu remarked: "The development of every society depends largely on its ability to mix and intermingle with people of other tribes. I appreciate your contributions to the economic growth of Sokoto State, and my administration will continue to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive."
The governor also thanked the resident communities for their consistent support of his administration and received assurances of their total backing for his potential second-term bid.
